Why choose us?
Oyster Bay Public School is a Kindergarten to Year 6, comprehensive and co-educational primary school that proudly serves the Oyster Bay community. We welcome students from all backgrounds and cultures, and we are committed to ensuring every child is known, valued and cared for.
Our unique split-site school provides the best start for all learners, with a nurturing K to 2 campus and a dynamic 3 to 6 site. Students benefit from strong, evidence-based literacy and numeracy programs including InitiaLit, MiniLit, MacqLit, SpellEx and Essential Assessment. Consistent use of data, explicit teaching practices and high expectations contribute to our strong NAPLAN results and sustained growth in reading and numeracy.
We offer rich learning experiences through engaging classroom programs, high potential and gifted opportunities, sport, creative arts, STEM and a wide range of extra curricular activities. Every child has access to modern learning resources including bright classrooms, 1 to 1 iPads for Years 3 to 6, shared devices in K to 2, modern playgrounds, a well-stocked library and specialist spaces for performance and digital learning.
Student wellbeing is central to our approach. Positive Behaviour for Learning, The Anxiety Project and our dedicated Learning and Support Team ensure students feel safe, supported and ready to learn. Strong partnerships with families and an active P&C, known for the annual Art and Craft Festival, help create a connected and inclusive community.
